Commissions
The 5%ers trading activities are all executed through their brokers, via the STP Market Execution. They have incorporated an ECN-Broker-Fees-Structure into their platform. The spread and commission are shown separately – the commission is $4 per lot round trip, which is 0.4 pips.
The spread for EUR/USD is about 0.1 to 0.5 pips.
The spread is variable, not fixed. During the night hours, when the volatility is relatively low, the spreads can get wide, especially during the rollover time (New-York midnight).

Scaling
The 5%ers offer a scaling plan for traders with account balances reaching up to $4 million. This plan is distinctive for its combination of account doubling at every milestone, the ability to withdraw profits regularly, and a profit split with bonuses. Traders can double their account size every time they achieve a 10% profit margin. This scaling opportunity extends up to a maximum account size of $4 million. In addition, traders keep 100% of the profits they make, with the added benefit of withdrawing these profits starting from the first achieved objective. For instance, a trader starts with an account balance of $50,000 and results in a 10% profit, which amounts to $5,000. The firm recognizes this milestone by doubling the trader's account balance to $100,000. If they replicate their success and earn another 10% profit, this time $10,000, their account doubles to $200,000, and once again, the entire profit is theirs to keep. This cycle of earning a 10% profit and scaling up can continue until the ultimate goal of managing a $4 million account. Additionally, the plan features a 14-day pay-out cycle, which is reset each time an account is scaled up. While profit pay-outs reset the account balance to its initial amount, they do not affect the scaling milestone target, ensuring continuous progress toward the trader's goals.
